If your wondering about the lack of posts its because my mind has been 100% focused on my upcoming accessory line EclecticStar. At first I thought I could handle starting my business while continuing to blog daily but I found it extremely difficult to do on my own. There is a lot that I still want to do with AuthenticByrdie and I want to get back to what I originally wanted the site to be about. I apologize to all of my readers and very loyal supporters, I truly do appreciate every single one of you. Although it is not easy for me, I mean this site has been like my baby for the past two years, I want to focus on one project at a time. I believe that if you sew your seed in too many places then nothing will grow. My heart is very much still in hip-hop and I promise AuthenticByrdie.com will be back and better than ever very soon.

Maroon 5 x Foster The People Join The Beach Boys at The Grammys

This was my favorite performance of the night hands down, not just because I’m crushing on Adam Levine this week but because Maroon 5 and Foster The People did and awesome job singing the Beach Boys hits. Foster The People especially, sound exactly like The Beach Boys in their day. After their tribute the original Beach Boys reunited for their first live performance in over 20years doing their hit “Good Vibrations”.

WTF Of The Week: Nicki Minaj’s Grammy Performance

I usually would wait to do a “WTF Of The Week” post towards the end of the week but I can’t imagine anything more bizarre happening than what Nicki did at the Grammys last night. Nicki’s performances have never been normal but this right here was just horrible. This is why Nicki’s performance SUCKED.

1. She performed as her alter ego character Roman.

2. The new song she debuted, “Roman Holiday” was horrible.

3. She came to the show in character, dressing up in a red hooded gown with the man dressed up as the Pope walking her down the red carpet.

4. She made a fool of religion.

5. She performed an exorcism. (way too many theatrics, not enough rapping/singing)

Watch the performance above, everyone in the crowd literally had the blank stare. Mama Gaga should be pissed.
